Beckham who announced his retirement last month, started his glorious career with his boyhood club Manchester United under one of the greatest English managers Sir Alex Ferguson; who has also retired at the end of the 2013 season.

Beckham holds a record number of appearances for an English outfield player. He is also the only Englishman ever to win four different league cups in four different countries. After spending 10 years at Manchester United Beckham then moved to Real Madrid after a controversial spat with his former manager Sir Alex. He then went on to win the league cup in Spain with Madrid in the 2006-2007 season.

After which he made a shock move to the American football league. He spent 5 years with LA galaxy helping them win the league cup twice. In between the 5 year period he spent two years on loan with AC Milan.

David played his last season with French league winners Paris Saint Germain. Before being substituted in his last home game, he broke down in tears on the field coming to grips with the fact that his career is finally over.

Beckham is considered one of the greatest legends the game has ever seen. The historic free kick goal he scored against Greece in the worldcup or the half line goal or the countless number of goals he scored from his incredible curved free kicks. These are only a few of the many memories which will live on.

Goodbye Sir!
